At Bristol Menopause and Well Woman Clinic, your wellbeing takes centre stage.

We also like to give back to local communities.

Attending our clinic offers a host of benefits that are developed to empower and enhance your life in an evidence based and holistic way.

The menopause can have long term effects on both mental and physical health, causing a deterioration to your overall wellbeing and self-esteem.

Have you been experiencing an increase in irritability and feel like you're on an emotional rollercoaster that is impacting on both your home and work life?

We have spent a combined total of 50 years researching and developing deep expertise in Womens Health, Contraception, Hormone Replacement Therapy and lifestyle choices that can affect both your physical and mental wellbeing, not just through the menopause but also through every stage of a woman's life.

Having British Menopause Society rgistered Menopause Specialists with expertise in nutrition, enables us to discuss the positive effects of diet, exercise and lifestyle on the perimenopause and menopause.

Every woman is unique and therefore what we offer is tailored to your individual needs.

We are passionate about women’s health and believe that no woman should have to suffer with these symptoms.

We offer a caring and compassionate service to help you through this difficult period of your life.

Wellwoman Checks

In these stressful and uncertain times it is really important that we care for ourselves, both physically and mentally.

Therefore, we have specifically designed a series of Wellwoman Checks for women who want a thorough review of their wellbeing and lifestyle.

These checks provide clinical guidance and health advice in order to help you make changes to enhance their current health and well being.

They are delivered by Nurse Practitioners who have specialist training and knowledge built up over many years of clinical practice in women’s health.

Case Studies

A 45 year old woman suffering with low mood, night sweats, irritability worked part time and had two young children. Her husband wanted them to go for marriage guidance as arguing constantly. She came to see us as her GP offered anti-depressants. We started her on HRT. She came back to see us three months later having changed jobs, in the process of moving house and with her marriage back on track.

Her husband refers to us as their angels!
Early menopause at 40 had been on oral Hormone Replacement Therapy for 5 years but had been feeling tired and weepy. She was no longer exercising and was struggling with her job. She changed from Oral to Transdermal Hormone Replacement Therapy and added in Testosterone. She was suffering from abdominal problems, constantly bloated, struggling with weight. We added in Probiotic, Vitamin B and Vitamin D. Six months later she had lost all symptoms, her gut had settled down and she was back exercising.

“I have my life back”
A 50 year old woman came to discuss diet and lifestyle with menopause as she had lost all motivation and had gained three stone over the previous two years. She also had a mental breakdown in this time.

We made a plan for supplements for her to take, combined with Hormone Replacement Therapy. We also discussed exercises for her to do and a sensible eating plan. Three months later she had lost a stone in weight and had more energy.

She is now considering coming off the anti-depressants!
A 44 year old woman had stopped work. The GP had advised her that it was not menopause-related and prescribed anti-depressants. She was crying and couldn’t cope with two young children. She felt irrational and was not sleeping despite taking anti-depressants. She took herself off anti-depressants as she knew she wasn't depressed. She tried alternative therapies including: St. Johns Wort, Black Cohosh, Sage Leaf and Red Clover, but none of them were effective.
She came to see us and started on Hormone Replacement Therapy.

Within two weeks she was sleeping better and no longer crying. By six weeks, she was back to her normal self and is now looking for a job!
