Initial Consultation (45 minutes)

During your consultation, we cover:


Health Assessment:

  • Evaluate symptoms related to menopause such as hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, and changes in menstrual cycle.

  • Assess overall health status including medical history, current medications, and any pre-existing conditions.


Review Current Lifestyle:

  • Discuss lifestyle factors such as diet, exercise, stress management, and sleep patterns that may impact menopausal symptoms.

  • Identify any habits or behaviours that could exacerbate symptoms or affect overall health.


Provide Advice and Guidance on Treatment Options:

  • Educate on various treatment options for managing menopausal symptoms, including hormone replacement therapy (HRT), non-hormonal medications, and lifestyle modifications.

  • Discuss the risks and benefits associated with each treatment option to facilitate informed decision-making.


Prescribe Appropriate Treatments:

  • Prescribe HRT according to established guidelines from organisations such as the British Menopause Society, NICE, and the International Menopause Society.

  • Consider individual patient preferences, medical history, and severity of symptoms when determining the most suitable treatment regimen.


Discuss Supplements and Lifestyle Changes:

  • Provide information on dietary supplements.

  • Offer guidance on lifestyle changes including regular exercise, stress reduction techniques, and adequate sleep to support overall well-being during menopause.


  • Follow-up Communication: Choose between:

    • 1 phone call to address any immediate concerns, or

    • 2 email exchanges for ongoing support and questions.


  • Follow-Up Appointment (at 3 months)

    • Review Current Symptoms & Assess Needs

    • Review Health Assessment

    • Review Current Lifestyle

    • Adjust Treatment if Necessary & Prescribe

    • Update Your GP
